I want to grow my money over time and am ready to take some risk in order to do so. I understand that there may be some bumps along the road but would prefer the journey not to be too rough. I am willing to commit to investing for a reasonable timeframe (at least five - seven years).
This fund aims to deliver income with the potential for future growth in income and capital. While the managers are conscious that investors hold this fund for income, they will not chase yield to the detriment of capital stability and growth and the income may therefore fluctuate. The fund invests into equities, fixed income and cash although at least 60% is expected to be invested in fixed income with a bias to corporate bonds. The equity allocation is actively managed and invested in companies the manager thinks are of good quality and trading on attractive valuations.
This fund is designed to provide capital accumulation over the longer term, and the managers aim to provide an absolute return of 4-6% per annum. The fund targets a level of risk over the medium term that is approximately half that of equity markets. The fund is managed dynamically and can hold between 20%- 60% in equities. There is a strong emphasis on risk management and the managers have a focus on capital preservation in the way they manage the fund and think about the risks they take, although capital preservation is not guaranteed.
The fund aims to provide capital accumulation from a combination of income and growth over the longer-term whilst seeking to control risk. The fund benefits from an experienced team of managers who structure the fund around their long-term forecasts for asset class returns and risk. On a risk scale of one to ten (with ten being the highest risk), the managers class this fund as a five. Alongside their long-term positioning, the L&G team make more dynamic changes to the portfolio based on their views over a shorter time horizon of one to five years. This fund invests predominantly into passive funds which has the benefit of helping the fund reduce its cost to investors.
The fund aims to deliver longer-term capital growth with some income by investing in a diversified range of UK equities, bonds and cash which meet a set of strict ethical criteria. The ethical screening criteria means that the fund will have a more restricted universe of securities to select from compared to other non-ethical peers and the screens tend to bias the portfolio towards small-and medium-sized companies. The fund has a neutral asset allocation of 50% in equities and 50% in fixed income although the managers are able to move within a 10% range of this allocation depending on their investment outlook.
I would prefer a less bumpy journey and understand that this may result in lower returns. I am willing to invest for at least 5 years.
I understand the journey may be bumpy but would prefer it not to be too rough. I am willing to invest for a reasonable timeframe (at least 5-7 years).
I understand that adventurous investing may mean taking a bumpier path with the hope of higher returns at the end. I am prepared to invest over a longer time horizon (at least 7-10 years).
